Party with the LA Valiant this weekend

The Los Angeles Valiant welcome gamers and families alike to the first-ever Be Valiant: Community Block Party on Saturday, October 20 in front the Esports Arena Santa Ana beginning at 2:00PM PT. The outdoor festival offers Valiant-themed carnival games, food trucks, live music and performances, local artists, a meet and greet with the LA Valiant, and more.

"Through Be Valiant we focus on reaching under-served fans as part of our persistent drive to become the most inclusive and diverse community in esports," said Noah Whinston, CEO of the LA Valiant. "The Community Block Party is the best way to close out Be Valiant for 2018 by celebrating current fans and welcoming new fans who want to be a part of an united esports community."

Throughout the year, Be Valiant events focused on creating physical touch points for under-served communities in esports. Past Be Valiant events included the Fan Art Showcase, LA Valiant Pride Party at Los Angeles PRIDE, and the Girls in Gaming Summit Presented by Microsoft. The Community Block Party is the fourth and final Be Valiant event of 2018 with specific focus placed on welcoming kids and families.

Exclusive to the LA Valiant Community Block party is the activation: "Junkertown IRL Presented By Nitto Tires." Inspired by the Junkertown map in Overwatch, and brought to life with the newly announced team partner Nitto Tires, fans are transported to the post-apocalyptic Australian outback featured in gameplay.

In addition, Wells Fargo, an official team partner of the LA Valiant Community Block Party, brings its world famous Stage Coach for attendees to interact with in addition to supporting fans through merchandise giveaways and other activities Featured on stage are gaming industry DJs GlitchxCity and James Landino. Renowned video game music remix artist and YouTube content creator, GlitchxCity, is the first-returning Be Valiant participant. James Landino is a professional game composer and touring DJ merging the audience of gaming and electronic dance music together. Landino has headlined at major events such as Super Smash Con, Anime Expo, and MAGFest.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to St. Jude Research Children's Hospital. Attendees who have purchased tickets to the California Cup are granted admission to the LA Valiant Community Block Party.
