World of Tanks kicking off tank soccer this summer

In this event, teams of 3-vs-3 compete to score the most goals in a seven minute match. Players must use their tank's gun to blast the ball around the pitch and into the opponent's net. During Tank Football 2016, all players will be credited the unique T-62a Sport (T-62a S) with a free Garage slot. To join the event, select the T-62a S and click Battle!

During matches, tanks will be incapable of damaging or destroying other vehicles. However, the tracks of the opponent's tank can be shot to immobilize them and ram their vehicle to immobilize them. With the enemy out of action, this is the perfect time to break out your tekkers with a special football consumable—Turbocharger—temporarily speeding up your vehicle to reach that final third.

There are three stadiums available to play during the event: Himmelsdorf Arena, Stade Eiffel and Old Tankford. Tank Football 2016 will also let you tackle new battle missions; go it alone or Platoon with teammates. You can even deck your tank out with a range of customization emblems and flags of the countries taking part in this summer's major European football event. For tankers in North America, a week-long tournament will be running from June 20 - June 26, in a 3v3 format for Tank Football mode. Registration begins on June 10, and prizes will be offered to teams who move on to each round including special emblems, Experience boosts, Premium time and the top team will earn the elusive Type 59!

At the end of the event, the T-62a S, Garage slot and flags of the countries taking part in the football event will be removed from players. However, any medals and emblems earned will remain as a memento of the event.
