The full moon is rising in Far Far West, bringing a host of spooky surprises, creepy cosmetics, hundreds of bug fixes and even a new map to explore during the Halloween Event starting today and running through Nov. 12:
This limited-time event will introduce three temporary resources for your band of outlaws to collect if you want to get your hands on the best loot. Feathers, Pumpkins and Skulls can be earned on the maps Far West, Area 41, and the brand-new map Redwood that you need to haul back to the freshly spooked-out lobby to perform a ritual to earn yourself Haunted Candles. This special currency is used to unlock the new suite of Halloween cosmetics:
- Sawbones character skin
- Scarecrow character skin
- Pumpkin Jack character skin
- Horse mount skin
- “Dies First” title
- “Scarecrow” title
- “Bounty Haunter” title
- “Legend of the Fear Fear West” title
- Spook emote
And don’t be yellow-bellied, now, because these cosmetics will only be available to earn during the Halloween Event before they need to be purchased with your hard-earned gold until next year’s event, so make sure you lasso ‘em all up. What won’t go away are the three new female skins for even more ways to customize your bounty hunter. If you have some leftover Haunted Candles on hand when the event is over, you’ll get a pretty payout of 2 souls per candle.
If that wasn’t frightening enough, a whole new slew of content and upgrades are heading west. The Joker’s Choice system lets you pick between two Jokers of the same tier each time you find one on a mission, a Disturbance System adds modifiers to your run as you complete objectives to keep you on your toes, and a new questline in Woodlands unlocks the new Redwood map with its own secrets to uncover. Shucks, and we haven’t even mentioned the horse racing minigame in the lobby!
