On the day of the series' premiere, CD PROJEKT RED also announced a new update for Cyberpunk 2077, titled the Edgerunners 2 Update (Update 2.5). Set to release on October 22, 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, and XBOX Series S|X, the free update will introduce a range of new items and features to the game, including content inspired by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. The Nintendo Switch 2 release will follow shortly.
More details about the Edgerunners 2 Update will be revealed on October 21, 2026, during a special episode of REDstreams, which will offer a first look at what's coming to Cyberpunk 2077. The episode will be broadcast on Twitch, YouTube, and Steam, with the official patch notes also scheduled for publication on the same day.
