NBA 2K27 drops second patch

NBA 2K27 drops second patch

Dateline: 10/8/2026

NBA 2K27 released Patch #2 today on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, bringing a number of changes to the game. The patch is due on PC and Switch 2 on October 16th.

From 2K Sports:

This expansive update brings improvements and fixes across the game, including Gameplay, MyCAREER Eras, Crew HQ, and more to enhance the player experience.

Key updates include:

  • Gameplay & On-court Changes: Refines gameplay across shooting, defense, rebounding, dunking, passing, steals, Takeovers, dribbling, and overall gameplay balance. These updates end “ghost contests,” as shot contests now accurately factor in defender position at release. Steal animations now better match the stealer’s rating and failed steals properly penalize low-rated or out-of-adrenaline defenders. In addition, Behind-the-Back Escape commands no longer turn into a standard behind-the-back dribble.
  • MyCAREER Eras: MyCAREER Eras saves can now transition across Eras chronologically, for up to a full 25-year career. For example, players can now start in the LeBron Era in 2010 and play all the way into present day.
  • Crew HQ: Crew Divisions increases REP and Crew XP earnings as players can now earn 1.25X REP and 2X CXP, and difficulty now matches The REC to be more accessible.
  • MyTEAM: Quality of life updates such as enhanced menus, Auction House updates, player/coach likeness, arena and uniform updates, minor bug fixes across modes and more.
  • And so much more! Updates have been implemented across the entire game including MyNBA, The City, and MyPLAYER.
