Konami today celebrates the 40th anniversary of the “Castlevania” series. To commemorate this milestone, the original Castlevania is now available for free on the App Store and Google Play for a limited time as well as a sale of up to 80% for “Castlevania” series titles on multiple platforms today. Other announcements include the release of official soundtracks coming to streaming platforms, the “Castlevania 40th Anniversary An Orchestral Concert” and merchandise lineup.
The original Castlevania released in 1993 for the Famicom and is now available for free on the App Store and Google Play for a limited-time until October 24, 2026. The first entry in the series introduced vampire hunter Simon Belmont and his battle against Dracula within his infamous castle. Fans can venture on a journey of gothic horror, challenging action and iconic music that has captivated multiple generations.
