Blizzard releases World of Warcraft: Forever update

Blizzard Entertainment today released information on the World of Warcraft: Forever beta and what changes are planned moving ahead.

From Blizzard Entertainment:

The first phase of the WoW: Forever beta introduced the Skyborne race and Zephras Isle starter zone, two new dungeons; Hall of Thanes and Ruins of Lordaeron, as well as social features like camping and the pro-social realmless server infrastructure – all with a level cap of 20.

Episode 1 of the WoW: Forever Podcast sees developers Josh Greenfield and Tim Jones, joined by community members Countdown to Classic and Xaryu discuss:

  • The Skyborne Elves, and how they fit into the reimagined Azeroth of WoW: Forever

  • Server technology, world PvP, and the new WoW: Forever UI

  • The leveling journey, experience gain changes, and class balance

  • Changes the team is making based on player feedback

In the next phase of the WoW: Forever beta, an increased level cap of 30 grants access to new talents and class abilities and the Darkspear Islands battleground, with even more to come in future updates.
