NC America announced last Friday it will host a two-week live team battle starring a wide range of MMO creators to celebrate the global launch of the action-packed, open-world MMORPG, AION 2, Monday, October 5. The six-team, 60-person fight named “War For Atreia”, commenced with a live draft, streamed on multiple AION 2’s social channels at NC America’s studio in Irvine, CA.
Mining AION 2's deep lore and long-term rivalry between the Elyos and Asmodian factions, this creator-driven war will feature 60 creators battling across three regions in two competitive factions. Every campaign bounty completed and viewer recruited feeds two races at once: The global Faction War (Elyos vs. Asmodians) and the Top Legion (or Top Team).
“The War For Atreia will challenge, reward, and surprise our participants and the players who follow them from start to finish. We're thrilled to host the event and can't wait to see how it plays out,” said Executive Publishing Producer Merv Lee Kwai. "If you're looking for a new, beautiful MMO experience in 2026, join us for Early Access on September 30, and Launch on October 5."
Both factions will compete starting Wednesday, September 30, with mid-campaign hidden bounties, exclusive rewards for watching your favorite streamers and exclusive follow-up Twitch drops to bring them back again to capitalize on those drops. Gamers are directly involved.
Team captains will draft their rosters on the AION 2 livestream starting at 10 am PT, Wednesday, September 23.
- NC has selected six captains (the anchor creator for each region-faction) for the war: Stoopzz and Sonii (North America); Baggins and Wakayashi (Europe), and Rakin and Tixinha (Latin America). Each territory will each get 10 creators per faction (Elyos and Asmodian).
- The remaining 54 creators enter their regional draft pool (18 per region). Within each region, the two rival captains – who are encouraged to campaign publicly for picks beforehand; drafted creators react live – will alternate picks, live on camera in a shared stream with NCA.
- The draft closes with each Legion's reveal package: name and sigil.
