Dead Party drops demo

Dateline: 8/14/2026

The co-op zombie apocalypse game Dead Party has launched a demo on Steam.

From Snail Games:

Set in the once-peaceful town of Shady Hill, Dead Party begins when UFOs appear overhead on Halloween. Soon, the neighborhood's dead rise from their graves, leaving four unlikely heroes to defend humanity from an invasion that is as bizarre as it is relentless.

Dead Party is designed around four-player co-op, putting players together to defend buildings against waves of increasingly dangerous undead.

Rather than simply mowing down zombies, players must scavenge their surroundings, break objects for resources, build barricades, deploy traps, and adapt their defenses as the horde closes in. Different zombie types and map layouts force teams to rethink their strategy and make the most of whatever they can find.

And when things get desperate, there's one weapon the undead can't handle: Rock music. Players can harness the power of their guitars and music-based abilities to push back the zombie hordes, adding an unconventional twist to the game's frantic combat.

cross Dead Party's game modes, teams can experiment with different approaches to surviving the invasion.

The game features four distinct modes, including:

  • Stage Equipment - Use stage equipment and the power of music to defend against the undead.
  • Antenna - Power generators and unleash jamming radio waves against the invading forces.
  • Skull Cannon - Collect zombie skulls and use them to take down UFOs.
  • Horde - Forget the escape plan. See how long your team can survive before the zombies overwhelm you.

Players can also follow the adventures of four unique characters through Story Mode, each bringing their own abilities, strengths, weaknesses, equipment, and character storylines to the fight.

With support for online and local co-op, Dead Party is built to turn zombie survival into a chaotic group experience whether players are coordinating a carefully planned defense or watching everything fall apart spectacularly.

The new demo offers players an opportunity to get hands-on with the game's core gameplay ahead of its full release.
