The anime open-world RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin has introduced Gowther as a new playable hero. Alongside Gowther’s arrival, the latest update expands the game’s main story with ACT 15 and adds new content, as well as limited-time events.
Gowther, who longs to understand human emotions, brings a precise and composed battle style to The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin. He can use three weapon types, each offering a different combat role. Wand focuses on Lightning Burst and offensive support, Grimoire uses Link effects to enhance team attacks, and Staff specializes in supporting Lightning team heroes through buff and debuff management.
Players can obtain Gowther through Pick-Up Draw “A Doll Yearning for a Heart.” The Hero Gowther Trial Event is also available through August 5 that allows players to select one of Gowther’s weapon types to try his combat abilities and earn rewards such as Star Fragment, Supreme Mastery EXP, and special materials.
The exclusive skin draw “A Journey to Find Myself” features Gowther’s exclusive supreme skin and Wand skin. The update also includes the check-in event “A Journey to Find a Heart,” which offers 14 days of rewards such as Hero Pick Up Draw Ticket, Ingot Selection Chest, Cube Key Bundle, Brilliant Engraving Seal and more through August 26.
ACT 15 continues the main story with a sudden barbarian invasion in the northern region. As players head north to uncover the truth behind the attack, they encounter an unexpected face. The new region “Barbarian Outpost” has also been added that allows players to explore and obtain new gatherables.
The latest update also adds several new content, including the Knighthood Boss Battle featuring Akumu, a boss featured in The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross, and the new Knighthood Rankings that offer players another way to compete. The new Boss Challenge against 「Corrupted」 Barbarian Chieftain Durak grants players various rewards based on their rankings.
Additionally, the limited-time event “Confirmed! Twigo” will run from July 22 through August 5 where players can earn special event tickets by completing various missions and obtain generous rewards such as Crafting Ornament, Armor/Accessory Crafting Blueprint Selection Chest, Potion of Charm, and more.
Based on the hit Japanese manga and anime IP The Seven Deadly Sins, which has sold over 55 million copies globally, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin lets players explore Britannia in a vast open world. It features tag-based combat, combination skills, and customizable teams using diverse characters and weapons. Multiplayer elements include forming parties for exploration or teaming up to defeat bosses.
