Echoes of Elysium luanches into Early Access

Dateline: 1/27/2026

The open-world survival RPG crafting game Echoes of Elysium launched on Steam Early Access today.

From Snail Games USA:

Echoes of Elysium will retail for $19.99 with a 10% discount for the first week. To mark the launch, Loric Games unveiled a new trailer showcasing the innovative airship building system, allowing players to construct, customize, and pilot vessels through Elysium’s floating islands, along with the deep crafting and resource gathering essential for survival. The trailer also highlights intense multiplayer combat, both airborne and on the ground, as well as offering clues about the world's lore.

The Early Access launch features Echoes of Elysium’s core crafting and survival systems, along with its expansive first region, several hours of quest content, and a final boss. Players can engage in up to 6-player co-op or solo offline play and progress to build Tier 2 weapons, tools, and airship components. As Echoes of Elysium progresses throughout Early Access, it will receive additional biomes with new resources, recipes, and higher-tier airship components, along with more narrative content and endgame features.

Offering players a glimpse into the Echoes of Elysium roadmap while in Early Access, Loric plans to deliver ongoing updates focused on stability, accessibility, and quality-of-life – including critical fixes, expanded localization, controller support, ship customization, and Steam Deck support, the roadmap includes continuous improvements and content updates delivered between two major content expansions planned for 2026.

The Spring Expansion introduces dynamic storms, new enemies, Tier 3 airship parts, and a new boss encounter, followed by a Summer Expansion that adds a new biome, caves and dungeons, a Pilot class, deeper customization, and new enemy threats, all shaped in collaboration with the community throughout Early Access.

To support this ambitious roadmap, Echoes of Elysium was transitioned from Unity 2021 to Unity 6.3, laying a stronger technical foundation for ongoing development. “We made the decision to migrate our game engine from Unity 2021 to Unity 6.3 which offers dramatically improved stability, performance, and progression. Loric is incredibly proud of what the team has built and excited by what’s ahead as development continues alongside our community,” said Loric Games cofounder and CEO Brian Johnson.
