Players who already have the full Animal Crossing: New Horizons game for the Nintendo Switch system can purchase the upgrade pack separately to enjoy all the enhancements of the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
Along with Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, a free update is available to all Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 Animal Crossing: New Horizons players! Take advantage of Resetti’s Reset Service, which gives you a fresh start by tidying up your island. Explore the new resort hotel run by Kapp’n’s family, where you can design themed hotel rooms, craft items to be delivered and earn tickets redeemable for exclusive collectibles at the resort gift shop. Plus, players with a Nintendo Switch Online membership can invite friends to join them on Slumber Island, where they can transform a shared dreamscape.
New collaborations are also available! You can collect in-game Nintendo systems to give your island home some retro flair, and Nintendo Switch Online members can also play select classic Nintendo titles in-game when interacting with specific Nintendo console items! LEGO items will also make their debut with this update, and you can even scan select amiibo from The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon series to invite certain characters to visit your island and unlock various items inspired by those series.
