From 2K Sports:
The first NBA 2K26 Player Ratings update of the regular season is here, featuring three players immediately on the rise: Victor Wembanyama, Austin Reaves and Lauri Markkanen.
San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama: 95 OVR (+1), the shot-blocking machine, is averaging 26.7 points, 13.7 rebounds, and 4.7 blocks and is putting up unfathomable statlines so far. After consulting monks at a Shaolin temple in China, studying medicine and Shaolin Kung Fu, and linking up with one of the most mentally tough players in NBA history, Kevin Garnett, in the offseason, Wembanyama has unlocked another level to his game.
Los Angeles Lakers guard Austin Reaves: 88 OVR (+3), the former undrafted free agent, recently put up 51 points and 41 points in back-to-back games, and has been orchestrating the offense at a high level. While Reaves’ usage has increased with LeBron James and Luka Doncic out, his production is less about the absence of his teammates and more about a clear leap he has made year-over-year.
Utah Jazz forward Lauri Markkanen: 87 OVR (+3) has looked refreshed and already in mid-season form, averaging 31.1 points and 7 rebounds per game. The Finnish forward also posted a new career-high in points, dropping a fifty-piece on the Phoenix Suns, making it the eighth-most points scored by a member of the Utah Jazz in a single game.
