From Techland:
Dying Light: The Beast - New Content
The latest patch for Dying Light: The Beast introduces new content and a range of fixes and improvements. A new human-enemy behavior allows melee-weapon enemies to recognize when a firearm is aimed at them and choose to surrender rather than lose their life, creating dynamic and reactive encounters.
The update also brings 9 new weapon finishers across different weapon types, including one-handed bladed weapons, long blunt and bladed weapons, two-handed blunt and bladed weapons, knives, and knuckledusters, offering more brutal execution animations.
With this update, the third week of Community Challenges - Call of the Beast - begins. The community comes together to reach the goals set by Techland, which this week require landing millions of accurate shots with firearms to hit the enemy. Achieving each milestone unlocks rewards, including the Marksman Car Skin and the Bullseye rifle.
Halloween Showdown - Weekly Halloween event in Dying Light 2: Stay Human
The Halloween Showdown - runs from October 30, 6PM CET to November 20 - kicks off a new weekly event in Dying Light 2: Stay Human, where two themed factions compete for victory and exclusive rewards. Players collect candies from defeated zombies and donate them to Baka at the Bazaar or Tower Raid hub. Hitting weekly targets unlocks faction-themed weapons, and both teams compete to earn unique charms as rewards.
The city of Villedor is fully decorated for Halloween, with returning themed enemies including Pumpkintiles, Witches, Scaregoons, Virals, and Biters. In Tower Raid, Halloween-themed enemies take over the Tower, with new decorations, layouts, and rooftop battles. Players can also unlock new characters like Cursed Pirate and the permanent Tower Raid character CyberRaider, while the updated reward track offers Toxic and UV weapons and a new scoreboard for competitive play.
Players' creativity continues with Halloween-themed community maps such as Atomborne - Nightmare Hunter and The Sweetening Hour, and from November 13, special bounties on these and three additional maps allow players to earn more candies for faction rewards.
Halloween isn’t just about candy, it’s also about dressing up. So Techland presents a special set of Halloween Bundles. The Volkan Bundle offers experimental technology, including a gravity-defying rifle and other secret lab creations, while the CyberRaider Bundle provides a futuristic urban decay look to survive the madness. Both bundles are available in the in-game store.
