From EA Sports:
The NHL season starts tomorrow, and EA SPORTS is rolling out exciting new live updates in NHL 26 to celebrate. From a new partnership with Amazon Prime Video’s hit docuseries FACEOFF: Inside the NHL to the launch of CHEL Week: Puck Drop, players can jump in to experience hockey’s biggest stars and unlock special season-start rewards.
With FACEOFF season 2 — which provides fans with an all-access look into the 2024–2025 NHL season — having just premiered on Prime Video, EA SPORTS is kicking off a two-week HUT event inspired by the series. For the first time, hockey fans will be able to experience FACEOFF’s drama and rivalries both on-screen and in-game, with episodic HUT Moments and high-value player items that mirror storylines from season 2. Featured players include NHL 26 cover athletes Matthew and Brady Tkachuk, Sidney Crosby, William Nylander, Anze Kopitar, and more.
On October 6, EA SPORTS is also rolling out a new puck drop-themed CHEL Week, a five-day themed program in Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT), rewarding players with can’t miss, limited-time content to start the season. Players can jump in for new player drops, a free starter pack, a community vote to give one popular player a +1 boost, new chemistries, and more. Then on October 8, World of CHEL players can log in to claim a special BEATS headphones vanity item inspired by cover athlete Matthew Tkachuk — part of an exclusive collaboration with BEATS.
