From Behaviour Interactive:
Featuring a terrifying new Killer – The Krasue – and an energetic new Survivor – Vee Boonyasak – this is easily the most visually disturbing Chapter released so far.
After making her debut in the PTB, The Krasue is ready to take the stage for her deadliest performance yet. Her opera singing days are over, a memory smothered by The Krasue’s curse. Now, she hunts amidst The Fog, her head tearing violently from her body to pursue and feed on Survivors.
Visually, The Krasue is peak body horror. Skinless, sticky, and squelching, a trail of entrails dangle from her gaping neck. Her rotting mouth widens to feed, eyes aglow with otherworldly fury. The mere sight of her is enough to cause a visceral response. Suffice it to say, this is not a Killer for the faint of heart – or weak of stomach.
Beauty And Gore
While there’s plenty of gruesome gore to appreciate, it’s important to remember that The Krasue curses its victims. In this case, the recipient of its curse was Burong Sukapat, a beautiful and talented opera performer. By day, she would enrapture audiences with a voice both ethereal and haunting. Her success on the stage was undeniable, and directors were lining up to collaborate.
Little did they know that by night, she was stalking the streets of Siam as a disembodied head, devouring everything from decaying carcasses, to garbage, to human flesh.
This duality manifests in game, granting players the ability to swap between two forms. Traverse on foot to spit a Leeching Gland at Survivors, making them more vulnerable to your attacks. Once Survivors are cursed, switch to Head Form to pursue them and strike with your Intestinal Whip. It takes practice to master The Krause’s Power, but once you do, you’ll inflict untold horror upon any Survivor in your path.
Survive As Vee Boonyasak
Arriving alongside The Krasue is Vee Boonyasak, a Thai drummer from the buzzing Punk band Axekick. With an infectious personality, charisma for days, and enough swagger to steal the show at any concert, Vee is exactly the sort of person you want on your team.
Joining a growing roster of musicians in The Fog, Vee shares an interesting musical connection with The Krasue. Though they were actively performing at different times, Vee stumbled upon several haunting recordings of Burong singing. Not long after, Vee began to hear that same strange and unsettling music during Axekick’s climatic encore. Suffice it to say, it did not end well...
New Collections
Arriving alongside the Chapter are several incredible Outfits for The Krasue and Vee Boonyasak, providing deeper insight into their lives before The Fog.
As both characters were performers, the Sinister Grace Collection includes Outfits they once wore on their respective stages; one operatic, the other rock and roll. It also brings a few casual options into the mix, including a glimpse at what Burong Sukapat might have worn during her day-to-day life – before the Krasue emerged to hunt.
“When we were first designing Outfits for The Krasue and Vee, it was important to highlight their musical backgrounds,” explains Product Director Rose Li. “Part of the Krasue’s curse does benefit Burong’s time as a performer, and we wanted to highlight a costume she wore during the height of her opera career. It’s a big contrast with Vee’s style, which mirrors the chaotic sound and attitude of her band Axekick.”
