College Football 26 launched today for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

From EA Sports:

Delivering deeper gameplay and greater control with over 2,800 new plays, thousands of current athletes, and more than 300 real coaches with authentic schemes - players can forge their legacy in two expanded modes. Rise from high school recruit to Heisman legend in Road to Glory, or build a powerhouse program in Dynasty Mode. With all 136 FBS schools represented, the game surrounds players with the electrifying sights, sounds, and traditions of college football — capturing the energy, emotion, and pageantry of Saturday. Whether you're building your roster or managing the moment, the path to glory is in your hands.

“The passion and energy of the college football community has fueled us from the start, and that momentum continues to inspire our team every single day,” said Daryl Holt, SVP and Group GM, EA SPORTS. “College Football 26 builds on the success of last year’s return and delivers a deeper, more authentic experience across the board. We’ve refined gameplay, expanded modes, and leaned even further into the sights, sounds, and traditions that make Saturdays unforgettable—from pregame pageantry to improved player progression, more than 2,800 new plays and 300+ real-world coaches. This game is a tribute to the sport, and to the fans who make it what it is.”

College Football 26 delivers smarter systems, deeper immersion, and a renewed focus on what makes the sport special — a reflection of a game that continues to evolve its modes, presentation, and commitment to authenticity with every snap.

This year, College Football 26 expands its musical lineup through a new partnership with Metallica. As winners of the 2023 Metallica Marching Band Competition, the Auburn University Marching Band recorded a new version of the EA SPORTS™ College Football theme. The game also features over 60 newly recorded tracks, including fight songs, rousers, and stadium anthems like “Enter Sandman,” “Mr. Brightside,” and “Seven Nation Army” to elevate the game day experience.

In addition, EA SPORTS™ and Spotify have partnered to launch The Showdown—a six-part livestream series blending gaming and music with top athletes and creators. The series debuted Monday, July 7, and featured Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver/defensive back Travis Hunter, College Football 26 cover star and Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams, and EA SPORTS creator MMG. New episodes will roll out throughout the fall.
