Ra Ra BOOM launch date set

Dateline: 7/9/2025

The release date for Ra Ra BOOM was revealed today.

From Gylee Games:

The planet has been taken from humanity by a rogue AI meant to save us - and now, only four ninja cheerleaders from outer space, Aris, Saida, Ren and Vee - have what it takes to reclaim it. They’ve been training their entire lives for this moment, and the time to strike is just around the corner. Ra Ra BOOM will pack a punch when it blasts off toward PC, Xbox and PlayStation on Aug. 12 for $19.99.

This is not your average beat ‘em up. Ra Ra BOOM cooks with turbo-charged four-player co-op action, blending classic beat ‘em up gameplay with ranged combat in a lane-based 2D sidescroller. Today’s new trailer showcases a look at the baddies you’ll need to face to take back the planet, as well as the tools you’ll have at your disposal to do just that:

Woven throughout this action-packed game is a surprisingly narrative-rich campaign, with real, relatable heroes thrown into a battle to save humanity. Anyone who has ever been a teenager can relate, even if they’ve never had to save the planet.

In Ra Ra BOOM, each playable character also sports their own weapons and strengths, giving you four different, explosive takes on combat to find your perfect playstyle. Collect Scrap and use it to choose the abilities you want unlocked to perfect your game with the skill tree. Augmenting traditional beat 'em up gameplay with its unique lane system, Ra Ra BOOM integrates those lanes naturally into its hand-drawn environments, making sure that you don’t miss your mark in both melee or ranged combat.

Ra Ra BOOM’s killer soundtrack doesn’t miss a beat either - with a non-stop score of heart-pounding, rock-tinged beats courtesy of DJ duo Toy District, made up of Gylee Games CEO Bergs and partner Dreweybear. Ra Ra BOOM keeps both the energy and the BPM sky high.
