First Look: Joao III

3/18/2021: Joao III, called “the Colonizer” or perhaps more kindly the “Pious,” was King of Portugal and the Algarves from 1521 to 1556. Joao sponsored humanistic approaches to religion and it was also under his reign that the Inquisition finally arrived in Portugal. He often used diplomacy and arranged advantageous marriages, and significantly expanded Portugal's trade networks.

First Look: Kublai Khan

1/26/2021: Kublai Khan reigned from 1260 to 1294 AD and created an empire that ran from the Korean Peninsula to the very edges of modern-day Baghdad. He was the ruler of the Mongolian Empire and founded the Yuan Dynasty in China, serving as Emperor.

First Look: Vietnam

1/21/2021: Bà Trieu, also known as Trieu The Trinh or Lady Trieu, fought against the occupation of northern Vietnam by the Wu Kingdom in the early 200s AD. She wore bright golden armor and carried a sword in each hand, and her prowess on the field and uniform earned her the title “The Lady General Clad in Golden Robe.”

5/14/2020: The Maya plan out their settlements differently than other civilizations. They look to get their housing from Farms rather than being near Fresh Water. Settling adjacent to luxuries provides them with additional amenities as well. Lady Six Sky wants to keep her cities close to her capital. So settle an early cluster of cities and defend them strongly with your Hul'che atlatlists.
