Table Flip Simulator Review

Table Flip Simulator review hero

Pick, aim and smash! Your reward is to flip a table at the end, or is it?

Sometimes the simplest ideas can make for surprisingly entertaining games. Unfortunately, Table Flip Simulator doesn't quite manage to turn its amusing premise into a consistently enjoyable experience.

The concept is undeniably original. Across a series of small varied scenarios, your objective is to complete simple tasks consisting of throwing things to smash others before dramatically flipping the table to bring each level to a close. It's a premise that immediately raises a smile, but the novelty wears off far quicker than expected.

Flipping tables

One of the biggest issues lies in the physics. Rather than feeling satisfying or believable, object interactions are often awkward and unpredictable, making many tasks feel more frustrating than fun. The controls don't always help the action, and the game's physics engine frequently works against the player instead of creating the chaotic comedy it clearly aims for.

The biggest disappointment, however, is the table flip itself. Since every mission ends with a timed challenge to execute the perfect flip, what should be the game's most satisfying moment instead becomes a source of frustration. The timing window feels unnecessarily unforgiving, and repeatedly missing the flip removes much of the enjoyment -perhaps the only- from completing each level.

Flipping out

Beyond that, the experience quickly becomes repetitive. Levels are short and offer little variety, the humor rarely lands, and the gameplay loop changes very little from beginning to end. What starts as a quirky joke soon turns into a monotonous routine with little incentive to keep playing other than seeing the next environment.

It's not an offensively bad game, and the central idea deserves credit for being something different. Unfortunately, the execution never matches the creativity of the premise. The result is a short, repetitive, and ultimately forgettable experience that struggles to provide enough satisfying moments to justify sticking with it.

The Good

  • Different new concept

The Bad

  • Frustrating at times
  • Low replayability value
  • Graphics and music are nothing worth of remembering after a play through each mission

Final Rating: 50% - Table Flip Simulator is a quirky novel idea for fast entertainment, that wears off just as fast.
