From Maximum Entertainment:

Launching this fall into Steam Early Access and Game Preview for Xbox and PC, Overthrown allows players to build, destroy, and throw just about anything under the sun, including other characters in up-to six player co-op. The game has already garnered attention for its zany mechanics that allow players to pick up nearly any object such as trees and buildings, and heave them into the air as part of their city-planning strategy, or just for plain fun.

“We are thrilled to partner with Maximum Entertainment to see Overthrown reach audiences who love original and unique sandbox games,” said Rasmus Hofréus, co-founder and CEO of Brimstone. “The Maximum team has a wealth of experience publishing nontraditional indie games, and we are excited to see what we can accomplish together.”

Overthrown is a chaotic city builder where players construct and manage a kingdom either alone in single-player mode or with friends in up to six-player co-op. Harness the power of a magical crown to lift and throw anything in the game, defend citizens from bandits and mutants, and farm the land. Build, gather resources, explore, and farm to turn a fledgling state into a commanding, self-sustaining kingdom.

“We instantly fell in love with the premise and colorful world of Overthrown,” said Christina Seelye, CEO of Maximum Entertainment. “While we can’t say much now, we are eager for players to learn and see more very soon!”
