Maximum Football

Maximum Football, the competitive football sim built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5 where every play is uniquely driven by true-to-life physics, is playable for the first time as part of Steam Next Fest from today until June 17. Developer and publisher Maximum Entertainment released the Beta alongside a new trailer announcing Maximum Football will launch Q3 2024 into Steam Early Access. The free-to-play simulation will arrive on PlayStation and Xbox consoles at a later date.

Today’s Steam Next Fest Beta brings fans onto the field for an exciting new approach to football sim action. In the game’s very first playable build, fans will be able to play as two of the many teams in the game in one of the most pristine stadiums, as well as modify their team to try out Maximum Football’s robust customization features including various body types, uniform options, pads and more.

A celebration of the world’s most exhilarating sport, Maximum Football is built from the ground up to authentically deliver realistic, physics-based action. Every tackle, pass, block and catch relies on a lifelike physics engine to determine the outcome, empowering players to fully control the game. Maximum Football’s immersive physics ensure on-field action progresses as it would in real life.

Maximum Football’s full release will feature unparalleled team and player customization, allowing fans to alter every aspect of their team from custom plays to the team’s logo and individual pieces of equipment. Joined by College and Pro Football modes, daily and weekly challenges, along with an expansive roadmap of content updates, Maximum Football is a fully realized football sim suited for repeat champions and aspiring rookies alike.
