NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Tournament finals this weekend

2K today announced the four finalists of the fourth annual NBA 2K22 MyTEAM Unlimited $250,000 Tournament that will compete for the grand prize live on Saturday, March 19 at 3:00 p.m. PT / 6:00 p.m. ET. Watch the live-stream on NBA 2K’s Twitch.

The Xbox One/PlayStation finals take place between Isaac Holmes a.k.a. Swaggypholmes (age: 24, Virginia) and Kimani Ingram a.k.a. IBall_Splash (age: 23, Milwaukee), the runner-up of last year’s tournament, followed by the Xbox Series XS/Playstation 5 finals between Elston Everett Brown a.k.a. DEFINlTIVELY, (age: 23, North Carolina) and Tyler DeBondt a.k.a. TwoWayRoco (age: 21, Iowa), the winner of last year’s 2K21's MyTEAM Unlimited Tournament. The finalists emerged as the last four players standing after four pre-qualifying GameDays that began October of last year and battled through a 32 head-to-head single elimination qualifier tournament in March.

After qualifying on GameDay #2, TwoWayRoco advanced through the single-elimination Xbox Series XS bracket averaging 69 PPG. Meanwhile, DEFINlTIVELY qualified during GameDay #3 and won the PlayStation 5 single-elimination bracket by averaging 74 PPG. After being crowned their respective console champions, the finalists will battle it out on PlayStation 5.

Swaggy qualified for the single-elimination tournament in the Xbox One bracket averaging 62 PPG, while IBall_Splash qualified for the PlayStation 4 bracket also averaging 62 PPG. Both finalists battled through four qualifying matches before being crowned champions of their respective consoles to advance to the final, which will be played on PlayStation 4.

Hosted by 2K League lead commentators Jamie "DirK" Diaz Ruiz and Scott Cole, along with 2KTV host Alexis Morgan, the finalists will battle it out online for their share of the $250,000 prize purse, where the winner will receive $200,000 and the runner-up will receive $50,000.
