Hearthstone launches Mercenaries

Featuring strategic RPG gameplay and engrossing and rewarding long-term progression, Hearthstone Mercenaries introduces a brand-new way to play with your favorite heroes and villains from the Warcraft universe. Players will recruit and collect legendary characters from across all of Azeroth.

In Mercenaries, players will assemble Parties of six heroes from among their roster and set out to complete single-player Bounties—a randomly generated series of encounters which culminate in a bout with powerful Bounty Bosses. Upon completing a full Bounty, players will earn a cache of treasure that includes Mercenary Coins, which they can use to craft additional heroes, or upgrade ones they already own.

The roster of Mercenary heroes—which includes over 50 at launch—was designed to encourage players to get creative when building teams, with countless powerful synergies for players to discover. Players can also bring their most formidable teams to the Fighting Pit, where they can square up against other players and earn experience, achievements, and other rewards.

BUILD THE MIGHTIEST TEAM IN ALL OF AZEROTH!

• Powerful Starter Squad: Upon completing the combat and village tutorials, all players will receive eight well-rounded starting Mercenary Cards.

• Fast-paced Turn-based Combat: In head-to-head battles, players choose their moves simultaneously (actions with lower Speed ratings trigger first), until their opponent is defeated.

• Progression: Mercenaries gain experience for defeating enemies and max out at Level 30.

• Collect ‘Em All: A variety of tasks and bounties grant Mercenary Coins that can be spent to craft additional Rare, Epic, and Legendary Mercenary Cards. New Mercenaries can also be obtained from Mercenaries Packs, with a guaranteed Mercenary Card or Mercenary Portrait in each pack.

• It Takes a Village: In the Village, the main hub for Mercenaries, players can manage their collection, collect task rewards, upgrade buildings, set off on Bounties, and so much more!
