Upper Deck is looking for the ultimate Overwatch League fan

Upper Deck, the premier worldwide sports and entertainment collectibles company and exclusive licensee of Overwatch League trading cards, is currently in search of the most passionate and dedicated fans of the Overwatch League, the first-ever professional city-based esports league with 20 teams. The 2020 Upper Deck OWL Ultimate Fan Program Contest shines a spotlight on the league’s most dedicated fans who have made a positive impact on the Overwatch League community, culture, and overall fan experience.

Upper Deck is inviting superfans to showcase their team spirit and share their stories by submitting a nomination describing why they are the ultimate fan (in 75-150 words) at UpperDeck.com/OWLUltimateFan.

Selected nominations will be posted on Twitter, where fans will be able to vote by “liking” their favorite nominations on Upper Deck’s Twitter account and using the #OWLUltimateFan hashtag. The top 10 overall nominees, as selected by fans, will then have the chance to win prizes including signed player jerseys, autographed Overwatch League trading cards, exclusive Overwatch League Ultimate Fan apparel, and more. Key contest dates are below:

• Now – Sept. 7: Submit nominations
• Sept. 11 – 21: Fan voting open
• Sept. 25: Top 10 nominees announced, #UltimateFanFriday celebrations
• Sept. 25 – Oct. 5: Final round of fan voting
• Oct. 7: Overwatch League Ultimate Fan winners announced

“We were blown away by how inclusive and passionate fans of the Overwatch League have been since day one,” said Jodi Wasserman, Director of Marketing at Upper Deck. “With live events on hold for this year, we wanted to bring the Overwatch League community together in a way that would let them share their stories and give us an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the most dedicated fans.”

The Overwatch League Ultimate Fan will be crowned on Oct. 7, 2020, and will receive a prize package that includes: accommodations and two tickets to the 2021 Overwatch League Grand Finals, a signed player jersey, Overwatch League Ultimate Fan exclusive apparel, a personalized Upper Deck trading card, and Upper Deck Overwatch League trading card products.

The contest is open to all Overwatch League fans, who are at least 18 years of age or if applicable, the age required in the state in which he or she resides at the time of entry, and are legal residents of the United States of America (including Washington D.C.) or Canada, excluding Florida, Rhode Island, Puerto Rico, and the province of Quebec. Nominees must agree to all contest rules and submit their entry today through Sept. 7, 2020.
