BRAND NEW CLASS: DEMON HUNTER
The Year of the Phoenix introduces Hearthstone’s first new class since launch: the Demon Hunter! The fearsome Demon Hunter features an in-your-face playstyle, cutting down foes with weapons and claws… or crushing them with enormous Demon minions!

The Demon Hunter is available to all players who complete the free Demon Hunter Prologue campaign, consisting of four story-focused single-players missions which retell Illidan Stormrage’s origin story. The campaign is available on all Hearthstone platforms on April 2.

Besides unlocking Demon Hunter as a class, players will also receive, for free, all 10 Demon Hunter Basic cards, a 20-card Demon Hunter Initiate set, and a pre-built Demon Hunter deck list—so long as they have an open deck slot. After the prologue has been completed, the Demon Hunter will officially unlock on April 7!

REVEALING THE NEXT EXPANSION: ASHES OF OUTLAND
Ashes of Outland brings Hearthstone players to the memorable setting of World of Warcraft’s first expansion, The Burning Crusade, only to find it has been razed by an unstoppable force for destruction known as the Rusted Legion. Coming April 7, Ashes of Outland introduces 135 new fel-infused collectible cards and exciting new mechanics—like Primes, minons which are reshuffled into players’ decks in more powerful forms after leaving the board, and Imprisoned Demons, which come into play dormant, but unleash match-shifting effects when they awaken!

MORE UPDATES IN THE YEAR OF THE PHOENIX
Demon Hunter and Ashes of Outland are kicking off the Year of the Phoenix, but here’s a peek at what other updates players can expect:

• Ranked Mode Overhaul—New improvements to ranked ladder are on the way, including reworked matchmaking and a fun progression system loaded with meaningful rewards.

• New and Returning Player Experience—New players (as well as those returning to Hearthstone after an absence) will receive a free competitive deck of the class of their choice. In addition, they’ll get to play some all-new single-player missions to get back into the swing of things!

• Battlegrounds Updates—Battlegrounds continues to evolve in the Year of the Phoenix, starting with the addition of new playable Hero Illidan Stormrage!

• ...And More! There’s plenty to look forward to in the Year of the Phoenix, including new card additions to the Hall of Fame, substantial updates to the Priest class as well as a nonstop barrage of new content, such as in-game events, free Solo Adventures, and much more!
