From Epic Games:

Halloween is on the horizon and Fortnite is celebrating today with the "Fortnitemares" update, bringing new content and upgrades to both "Save the World" (PvE) and "Battle Royale" (PvP).

In "Save the World" players will have the opportunity to undertake original story missions and explore the new Hexsylvania area where they'll encounter new Halloween creatures, weapons, and more.

In addition to some spooky content, Battle Royale players will see a major upgrade with the addition of highly-requested features including leaderboards, player progression, cosmetic items for heroes, and a ton of quality-of-life game improvements.

Fortnite is available now as an early access title for Windows, Mac, PS4, and Xbox One. Players can get a head start on the action by purchasing a Founder's Pack for the "Survive the Storm" PvE mode (coming free in 2018), or challenging other players for free now in the "Battle Royale" PvP mode.
