[34.01] Questions

Q. How can I get a faster load time?

A. The bigger the house is, the larger the loading time of the house / lot.
The more Sims that are in there, the longer it will take to load. The more
objects, that are in there, the longer it will load. The more custom items
that are in there, the longer it will take to load. All these factors
contribute to how the game loads and the loading time of it. Ram will decrease
the time (see below) and defragmenting your computer will help. Make sure that
you are not trying to load a 8 family, 5 storey house with 50 billion objects
in it because I'm sure that it will take forever.

Q. How can my game run faster?

A. The game can run faster if you install some more ram. Ram is the only was
that the game actually runs faster. Your processor speed won't do much and
disk defragmenting your computer will only make sure it runs smoother and
loads a tad quicker.

Q. Where can I find the Disk Drfragmenter?

A. If you are using Windows, go to start, programs, accessories and then to
system tools. If you are using something that the previous does not use, then
go to my computer, properities of C:\ drive (or hard drive) and in tools
section. It should be the middle tool.

Q. I read your walkthrough to the Sims 2 game and what I was looking for was
not in it so i was wondering if you could help me out. I am having trouble
with keeping my people's lives together. In the first Sims game I noticed
that if you used the cheat code moveObjects on and deleted a sim and then
clicked on their picture that they would come back and their bars (such as
fun, energy, hunger, bladder, and etc) would all be full. I was wondering if
there was a way to do the same thing in the Sims 2. I have tried doing that
but when you delete the sims you cannot bring them back unless you click the
undo button but even when they do come back their bars are still the same as
before.

A. Simple answer, you can't. Maxis destroy that bug / glitch because it just
ruined the point of getting to the top of the career if you go to work in a
great cheated mood. I think it is a good idea as people can't really cheat
anymore with that aspect. If all your Sims are failing with really bad moods,
which is assume that you are having, then your can't. How about trying to get
a better person to be in charge and make sure all their needs are set. I mean,
I hope you are not attempting to kill them or anything. Whats the point of
playing of you are only going to cheat? You might as well get 10 more games if
you are going to cheat in them to get your means of entertainment. The cheats
such as motherlode is enough to buy massive, great motive building tools like
a wide screen television, double beds, toilets and bathes so their is really
is no point in doing that. Many people have lost their Sims because they tried
to do that tactic and lost them forever. That is how the game mechanics work
and if you are not happy with it, complain to Maxis, the creators of the game.

Q. Whats the deal over lawn gnomes?

A. Lawn gnomes rock! In the Sims 1, you could make and sell lawn gnomes for
a living. Of course, they have made an imfamous return to the Sims 2 as a
magical creature that can be played with if your Sim has enough playful points
to do so. Of course, if an angry person came along and took your dearly
beloved lawn gnome, your Sim will take the magical journey to get the gnome
back and punish the evildoer who took it in the first place.

Q. Where can I find this game?

A. Go to www.ebgames.com and buy it there. Or your local game shop. They
should have this game if it is cool enough. It should be fairly cheaper than
the original price as it has been out for about a few months. I think that it
should not be over $50 to $60 US at the moment. It should be about double of
the price of the University Expansion Pack.

Q. What is meant by chucking a sickie?

A. When you chuck a sickie, you basically say to your boss on the telephone,
that you can't come to work today because you are feeling *cough*sick*cough*.
However, if you do this too often to skip work altogether, you will get a
boss that won't trust you and you will be in deep dog do.

Q. Why can't I build?

A. You have the pirated copy of the game. Get the real game. Next one to ask
me that question will be handed over to the FBI or the CIA of pirated games
and raid your house for pirated software and you will burn in the depths of
the underworld. Buy the real game, not a copy, not a daemon virtual cd copy,
not anything except the real game. I had the cracked copy while I had the real
copy and trust me, you will want the real copy, it is needed in the University
expansion pack anyway.

Q. Why is Maxis obsessed with Llamas?

A. Well Llamas are super cool. It started in SimCity 2 with the Llamas making
their major debut on screen. There was a structure reward with the name Llama
in it, Llamas were the only animals that were actually named in the zoo, the
newspaper will take about the Llamas being killed in an air crash and there
was even a speed called Llama which was 2/5 in speed. Llamas are big, furry
creatures that walk around and eat grass. They used to love South America
but the company of Maxis decided that this lonely animals needed some more
attention and placed it in their games. If you from now on hear the animal
called a Llama in the gaming community, chances are that they are talking
about a Maxis game.

Q. Who do I get an Aspiration Change?

A. Simple anwser, you cannot. If you could, (you can in University) you can
acquire so many different items that it would not be fair.

Q. How do I get my Sims to wear their clothes they brought from a community
lot?

A. You have to have a wardrobe. Click on the plan outfit and then click on the
type of clothing that your Sim brought. Change the outfit till you get the one
you brought from the community lot.

Q. What is a hack?

A. A hack is simply something that has been changed within the game. Hacks
range from Career Hacks which are "new" careers created by people who entered
the games system and "changed" some stuff. Other hacks range from recolours
and mods like the Slow Aspiration Meter which reduces the speed which the
Aspiration Meter Decreases. Some hacks are painless like the Maxis creations
but others can be harmful like the Hacked Objects which when deleted can cause
some houses not to load.

Q. How can I detect a hack?

A. Some really smart people have created a hack scanner which you place in
your Downloads folder (My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads) and it will
scan the folder of all of the package files in there. It will check what every
one of the packages are. You can download the hack scanner from
http://djssims.deepmyth.com.

Q. How come when I maximize the Sims 2, I only see a blue screen. What
happened to the game?

A. You have to wait. The Sims 2 game file uses quite a lot of memory and when
you minimize the game, the memory use is discharged. To get the game running
again, all the memory previously used must be redirected back to the game.
This effect is not an instant one so you have to wait. Depending on what you
were on before, the game will take time to load. The bigger the house, the
longer time needed to load. The smaller the house, the faster to load. The
neighbourhood screen won't take that long to load unlike your Sim's house.

Q. How do I potty train?

A. Dear me, you must really suck. To potty train a baby, you have to buy the
toilet for the toddler, and click on it to potty train it. Some with the crib,
click on it to get the baby in it. Same with the changing station, click on it
to change a diaper, so forth. The baby must have some pee in their bladder
before they can pee it all out you know.

Q. How do I woohoo in public?

A. Come on, you've got access to the boards and other FAQs and yet you still
don't know how. To woohoo in public, try on clothes in a community lot, when
you go into the changing booth, click on the lucky Sim and click ask to join,
and the Sim will come and before entering, will look around. When they woohoo,
the store attendants that are in the building floor as them will watch and
cheer. I once has over 10 attendants rush over!

Q. What's your serial key?

A. GoBu-YThe-Game-UAss-Hole. Get the game and pay for it. You don't have a
serial key, BUY THE GAME. YOU ARE NOT GOING TO GET MINE. OVER MY GODDAM BODY
YOU WILL HAVE TO PASS TO GET IT.

Q. How can I change Aspirations?

A. Once you choose an aspiration, it stays forever. FOREVER DUDE!

Q. Does it rain?

A. It should but Maxis is probably leaving the weather for an Expansion Pack
to make more money. Cheap bastards. Anyway, just wait for a few more expansion
packs and the rain will come. It takes a lot of animation or rain, hail and
shine to come down and probably a weather channel for details for torommow's
forecast. Plus all those items that will be needed to keep your Sims dry, plus
the effect of the rain coming down to your neighbourhood, your Sims getting
wet, etc ,etc. They might as well make a clothes line next.

Q. What are the colours around the Sims when they are peeing, bathing?

A. You pervert! It is a blur of the colours around it to stop you from seeing
more than you need to see. It's CENSORED FOR A REASON YOU SICK MINDED MOTHER
******! Why, do you feel alone in this world and can't find some real *ahem*
you have to rely on cheap animiated *censored* material?
