[28] Party
Having a party is a fun thing to do. Invite some friends over and share some
grog. Make friends and lovers at the same place while others try to get
stoned but they can't. There are several party types. You can have a House
party, a birthday party and a wedding party. Only the House party can be
used normally.

[28.01] Party Level
There are several levels on your party. The higher the level, the better the
party
1st: Roof Raiser
2nd: Good Time
3rd: Not Bad
4th: Snoozer
5th: Real Dull
6th: Disaster

[28.02] How To Get a Good Party
To get a good party, invite guests who are friendly to the Sim that is
inviting people to the party. This increases the success rate of that certain
Sim turning up for the event. Any guest that is already in the house and at
the house in the time of the party will also become a guest of the party. Also
any friends that you invite over manually can also have a guest of party
honour. Having guests that are evil are a thorn in your backside and your Sims
backside so I suggest that you kick them out with all your might.
If the Sims that you are asking are absent or at work, they will be unable to
come to your good or bad party. Sure it may not be nice but thats the way it
is. Maybe Maxis thought skipping work for a party is not the best of all
ideas. NPC's should come unless they make some cock and bull excuse that they
are watching their favourite soup for cleaning their llamas.
They Party Score is based on how many positive reactions are being made. The
more green pluses, the better, the more red crosses, the worse your party
will be. Double + reactions are the best ways to make a good party and I've
had parties where my two house Sims had kisses everywhere and it was a Roof
Raiser. As long as you don't try to kill any Sims, you'll be fine and I will
assure you on that. If the guests are friends of one another, this will make
the party a success alone. Having two guests that are complete enemies and
jerks to one another is not the icing on the cake.
The better your computer, the more guests your computer can handle without
any major drama. There is a cheat that can allow you to have more guests but
then it can make your computer crash and that is not good. Don;t make your
party too close to midnight as no one will come and the coppers will come to
break up the fun.
Make sure you provide some food for your guests, you don't want them to be
leaving mid way through the party. Have some bathrooms ready and be ready
to clean the mess that comes along with them. Don't feed your guests rotten
food, use your brain, when you go to someone else's birthday bash, you don't
want to have constipation the next day because their parents gave you rotten
food do you?
If you have parties on a regular basis, have a mechanical Sim in the house-
hold as things can get broken and stuffed up very quickly. Toilets and
showers are annoying as they will leak water and lower the environment bar in
that room a lot so I suggest you get ready.
Have TVs and stereos turned on, have your arcades ready to rumble. Get your
computers ready and your washrooms in perfect mint condition. A party lasts
for 6 hours so try not to have a long night. Have all your Sims attend the
party and don't be afraid to order some pizzas to fill up those munchies.
A House party is set up via the phone. A marriage ceremony can be done only
when some people in the household are about to get married. A birthday
party is only able to be held when a Sim is about to be advanced to the next
stage in their live.
