The council has convened to discuss the renovation of a local park. The park
is in what the mayor like to call an "underfinanced" part of the city, and
though the park has some historical significance, the surrounding housing and
public works are as equally in need of renovation. The pros and cons are
complex, but when it comes time to vote, ____ has only two options.
"Yes"
The park renovation measure does not pass, and it is revealed that nearly all
other council members voted against the measure. The council is publicly
praised for its clear-headed fiscal reasoning, but ____'s name comes up in
local media coverage as the council member who would have rather saved some
"historically decrepit" park than devote funds to an education system on the
brink of collapse. ____ loses 2 charisma points and is left to worry about his
position in the upcoming elections.
"No"

As a member of the Joint Sub-Committee on Aquaculture, ____ has been asked to
spearhead an investigation into the possible connection between the military's
new sonar technology rig and the increasing number of beached whales around
SimCity. The power-that-be have categorically denied any connection between
the two events, but it takes ____ only a few hours to note that each
documented use of the technology corresponds directly to the beaching of
multiple whales, both in time and location. ____ prepares his findings and
announces his intentions to present them to the Sub-Committee ASAP. En route
to the Senate Building, he turns a corner and spots a black helicopter
descending sliently from only a few stories above him. With no time to think,
all ____ can do is to run or hide.
"Run"
"Hide"
____ darts across the street and dives into the lobby of an office building.
Still Shaking, he recounts the recent events to the man at the front desk
who sits in awe of his tale. The receptionist excuses himself to a back room
and returns with coffee for ____, just as two men in black suits enter the
building. The taller one surveys the lobby and reports the situation into
a microphone in his shirt cuff. The receptionist backs down the hall and
returns with a woman carrying a camcorder who ushers the two men in black
suits out of the building. She turns out to be a film director, and after
escorting ____ to the Senate building, she offers to buy the rights to his
story. ____ reports his findings, saves the whales, and walks away with a
movie deal worth §45,000.

Landgraab Enterprises has started a joint venture to build an international
seaport that would allow the transportation of larger volumes of goods in and
out of SimCity. A major principle in the business venture approaches ____ to
buy a large tract of city-owned waterfront property for only §1 an acre. With
current real estate prices as high as they are, §1 an acre is highway robbery,
but the construction of an international seaport could create a lot of new
jobs in SimCity. Should ____ accept the offer?
"Yes"
"No"
____ refuses the ventures ridiculous offer and without the waterfront property
to build a Seaport, Landgraab's business partner opts instead to invest her
liquid assets in a monumental trucking distribuation network. Once the network
is in placem SimCity will have all the benefits that the Seaport could have
added, in half the time, plus retaining the valuable waterfront property for
other uses. And the §50,000 "donation" ____ took from the Landgraab's business
partner can't hurt either.
