In Short | The heroes in a half shell are now in Injustice 2 and you can play as all four of them. |
The Injustice 2 Ultimate Pack grants access to the first, second and third fighter packs for DLC characters as well as all other fighter packs. The fighter packs contain an additional three characters that are added to the roster for Injustice 2 and the fighter packs can be bought separately or the fighters inside of them can be bought one at a time. The third set of three characters are (The) Atom, Enchantress and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) is the third and final Fighter Pack. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT) are the final characters of the fighters released for the third Fighter Pack. If you don't know who the Turtles are then I guess you were never a child in the early 90's or anytime soon. The Ninja Turtles have had several incarnations over the years and they sold quite a few toys and have even been in several movies. Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michaelangelo were ordinary turtles until they came in contact with a mutagen which mutated them into their current form. Splinter, a mutated rat, took them in and trained them in the arts of ninjitsu. These heroes in a half shell have made many popular enemies and friends throughout their adventures and now they are all fighters in Injustice 2. As you may have noticed, when I mentioned TMNT above, I called them 'characters' and that's correct, you can play as all four of the turtles from one character slot. In Online modes, you can choose between them on the slot itself and on single player, you'll have to equip a turtle's trademark weapon in order to select them. All four of the turtles are unique in their own way. They all have at least one unique special move and a different character power. The moves that they all share are a forward roll, overhead shell jump, defense block and the same super move. Leonardo has an uppercut slash and walking slashes. Leo's character power makes the other three turtles come out and perform a move based on the direction your tap when pressing the character power button. Donatello plays similar to Leonardo only a bit slower. Don has a move to pull an opponent out of the air with his bo and walking bo slashes. His character power allows him to toss out mines that have various effects depending on the direction you press when pressing the character power button ' one of the mines pulls his opponent toward the mine. Along with the shared moves, Raphael has a parry move and a move that causes him to get hype. By getting hype, Raphael increases his character power. His character power allows him to perform a combo when the button is pressed and the length of the combo depends on the number of sais on his hype gauge. Michaelangelo has a break dance move where he spins on his shell and kicks his opponent. His character power causes him to get on his skateboard. While on the skateboard, he will slowly move toward the opponent and he can perform a variety of attacks or cancel the skateboard ride. The turtles share many normal attacks but each of them use their own weapons throughout certain attacks (uppercuts) and they all have their own unique combos. They are basically palette swap characters but I honestly wouldn't want them to look unique since I'm a 90's turtle fan when they looked nearly looked the same aside from their ninja masks. It's really nice that Neatherrealm put all four of them in the game along with enough uniqueness to make them all fun to play. My only nitpick is that I would have liked to have seen at least one more unique special move for each turtle. The Ninja Turtles are definitely one of the better characters for value alone.
