announced that Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 has gone gold.

The newest iteration of the best-selling golf franchise—releasing on the
PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, and PC—will hit stores on September 22 under the
EA Sports brand. Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06 will be released for the PlayStation
portable on September 26.
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 06 offers all new gameplay challenges with the introduction
of the dual analog swing. Both analog sticks are used to give players more
control than ever. Players will need to think more strategically before
executing their shots and focus on the impact point on the ball. A new putting
mechanic also provides the opportunity for players to rely on finesse and move
the analog stick only as far as needed to make the putt.
Another exciting addition is the all-new Rivals mode in which players get the
chance to earn and defend the title of #1 Golfer of All Time. After creating a
detailed golf character in GameFace, players follow Tiger Woods’ path through
time in an attempt to best both Tiger’s accomplishments and the accomplishments
of elite golfers from each era. Legends such as Old Tom Morris, Ben Hogan,
Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus stand in the way as you attempt to become the
greatest golfer ever.
Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 06 features 12 licensed courses including Pasatiempo Golf
Club, Pebble Beach Golf Links, Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club, and Reflection Bay Golf
Club, plus three new fantasy courses including New York’s Central Park. Sixteen
PGA TOUR players hit the links including Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, and for the
first time, Mike Weir, Chris DiMarco, Ian Poulter, and Luke Donald.
