Beverly, MA (September 10, 2003) - Atari today announced that Dungeons
& Dragons Heroes has officially gone gold.
From Atari:
The first Dungeons and Dragon's branded product for a next generation console
will ship September 23rd, 2003 and will include the following features:
- Revolutionary four-player cooperative play allows up to four players to
select heroes and team up against the monstrous threat, playing cooperatively
through the single-player campaign.
- Play as one of four distinct hero characters drawn from different races
representing the main Dungeons & Dragons classes, Fighter, Wizard, Cleric and
Rogue; diverse styles of play for each Hero character ensure a different
experience on subsequent play-through.
- Incredible Action/RPG gameplay lets players roam through dark dungeons,
fiery forges in seven distinct environments.
- Authentic D&D monsters, many drawn directly from the third edition of the
Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual, including boss-monsters such as towering
Iron Golems, fire-breathing Golden Dragons and horrific Beholders.
- Equip Heroes with a variety of different weapons and armor types.
- Collect and combine Soul Shards to unleash the power of Heroes' Ancestral
Weapon.
