Santa Monica, CA (August 22, 2005) - Activision and Vagrant Records today revealed the soundtrack for Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland.

Set for release this fall, Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland Soundtrack CD showcases My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Taking Back Sunday, Senses Fail, Thrice, Alkaline Trio and others performing their favorite songs from the bands that influenced their careers and defined the punk music genre including the Misfits, Suicidal Tendencies, Descendents, Bad Brains and The Stooges. All 14 adrenaline-pumping tracks are exclusive to the Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland video game and deliver the high packed energy that characterizes the #1 action-sports franchise.

Tony Hawk is an executive producer and creative consultant for the Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland Soundtrack and worked collectively with Activision and Vagrant Records to select the artists featured on the CD.

“Tony Hawk games are known for having incredible soundtracks that match the look and feel of the game play,” said Tim Riley, worldwide executive of music at Activision. “Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland pays homage to the roots of skateboarding and the music on the CD does the same with the assembly of some of the best new bands of today giving us their take on punk classics.”

“Putting this soundtrack together was like stepping into a time machine,” said Rich Egan, CEO and co-owner of Vagrant Records. “The songs will take listeners back to a great era in music and skating and all the credit goes to the bands. They did a great job covering these classic songs. Fans are going to be stoked on the music and how it compliments the game.”

Tony Hawk’s American Wasteland is being developed by Neversoft Entertainment for the PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, Xbox, and Nintendo GameCube. The game has not yet been rated by the ESRB. The soundtrack and the game will be released separately in time for the holiday season.
