Redwood City, CA (August 23, 2002) - Electronic Arts today
announced that the official website for Ty the Tasmanian Tiger has gone live and
is ready to visit at www.ty.ea.com. The
website includes details about the game's features and its characters.
From EA:
A new character-based action adventure game, the title's star, Ty, is a wild,
boomerang-wielding Tasmanian Tiger whose adventures take the player through a
brilliantly animated 3D environment set in the splendor of Australia. Ty the
Tasmanian Tiger will offer a light-hearted and humorous action adventure
experience where players will encounter a bevy of madcap characters based on
real-life animals that are indigenous to Australia. The game will feature many
elements unique to character-based action games including the ability to control
Ty's arsenal of hi-tech boomerangs, as well as his "chomping" ability for new
attack moves.
Ty the Tasmanian Tiger will be released worldwide for the PlayStation®2
computer entertainment system and Nintendo GameCube game consoles this fall
under the EA GAMES brand. The game is being developed by Krome Studios, an
Australia-based entertainment software developer, and published and distributed
by EA.
