Redmond, WA (July 11, 2005) - Nintendo today released details on their
pre-order program for Pokemon XD which will appear on the GameCube in October
2005.
From Nintendo:
Starting Aug. 28, Pokemon fans who reserve a copy of Pokemon XD: Gale of
Darkness for GameCube at participating retailers will receive a custom Nintendo
GameCube vinyl skin featuring characters from the game. Pokemon XD: Gale
of Darkness will be available Oct. 3. For the dedicated Pokemon fan, there will
also be a Limited Edition Bundle featuring a Nintendo GameCube system and
controller, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness and a Limited Edition Pokemon XD Face
Plate. Pokemon was introduced in North America in September 1998 and has
since generated more than $15 billion in worldwide retail sales. Last year's
Pokemon FireRed and Pokemon LeafGreen sold more than 2.6 million combined. More
than 140 million Pokemon video games have been sold worldwide.
