Video Gaming News - July 2005

Redmond, WA (July 11, 2005) - Microsoft Game Studios announced today that it posted more than 1,400 leaderboards for competition in every category on the official Forza site at www.forzamotorsport.net.

From Microsoft:

Drivers can review stats for all race types, including Hotlap, Point-to-Point, Autocross and Time Trials. In addition, drivers can check out leaderboards for each car class and track, as well as an overall multiplayer leaderboard. All of the leaderboards can be found on the Forza community site at community.forzamotorsport.net.

After only two months, Forza’s ultra-realistic driving experience is already the second most popular game on Xbox Live behind only Halo 2. More than 150,000 Forza fans have rocketed onto Xbox Live to race against other drivers, join car clubs and share custom paint schemes. Car customization is exploding online, as thousands of Forza fans from all over the world have shown off unique designs rivaling the hottest paint schemes at real auto shows. Each driver’s reputation is enhanced when he or she sports a masterpiece paint job that lets other drivers know who is blowing by them on the leaderboard.
