the official website for Tales of Symphonia. Developed by Namco Tales Studio,
Tales of Symphonia will ship exclusively for the Nintendo GameCube in July 2004.
From Namco:
Located at tales.namco.com, the Tales of Symphonia Web site currently
features a contest to win a Nintendo GameCube autographed by Tales of Symphonia
producer Makoto Yoshizumi. In addition, the site offers a host of game assets,
including story and character descriptions, a fan site building kit, instant
messenger icons and wallpapers, as well as the latest screenshots, videos and
trailers. Site visitors are encouraged to sign up for the game’s newsletter for
regular updates, play the Mana Memory game for a chance to win cool prizes, and
participate in the active forums.
Additionally today, Namco released a selection of new screenshots of the game
that highlight several tactics available in Tales of Symphonia’s diverse battle
system while showing off its excellent graphics.
In Tales of Symphonia, players take full control of characters through a
unique real-time battle system, allowing them to execute and combine hundreds of
special attacks and magic spells. With more than a dozen mini-games and side
quests, the game offers more than 80 game play hours set across an emotionally
charged epic adventure positioned to redefine the role playing genre. In
addition, Tales of Symphonia features characters designed by renowned Japanese
artist Kosuke Fujishima and delivers beautiful anime-style cel-shaded graphics,
making its expansive 3D worlds feel like a 2D comic book.
