Video Gaming News - June 2005
Los Angeles, CA (June 22, 2005) - Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games)
today announced its talent line-up for The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate
Destruction.
From VU Games:
Leading voice-over cast members include: comic and sci-fi fanboy favorite Ron
Perlman (Hellboy) as Hulk’s notorious rival Emil Blonsky and the Abomination;
Neal McDonough, the voice of Bruce Banner in the late-90’s cartoon series “The
Incredible Hulk,” as Hulk’s human genius alter ego; and actor Richard Moll as
Devil Hulk, the embodiment of all that is evil within Banner’s own mind.
The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction is further brought to life through
an original storyline written by Eisner Award-winning comic book writer Paul
Jenkins (Hulk, Spider-Man) and high-quality art created by signature comic
artist Bryan Hitch (The Ultimates, Ultimates 2.)
“The authenticity, compelling storyline and unbelievable power and freedom
found in The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction create the consummate
experience for Hulk fans and core gamers,” said Ed Zobrist, Senior Vice
President, Global Marketing, VU Games. “Add the tremendous talent of our
voice-over actors, sound effects design and musical teams, and we’re delivering
the best Super Hero video game ever!”
Academy Award-winning sound effects designers, DaneTracks, widely known for
its work on “The Matrix” film, helped create the sounds of ultimate devastation
and annihilation that players will experience within The Incredible Hulk
gameplay world. To develop the sound design, DaneTracks conducted a junkyard
foley session to record sounds of cars being dropped on each other and ripped in
half, to ensure the sounds of “ultimate destruction” in the game were authentic.
Acclaimed composer Bill Brown created the impressive soundtrack for The
Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. Brown worked with the Los Angeles
Orchestra to perform the original score. Brown is currently the composer for the
hit CBS television series, “CSI: NY,” and his previous credits include composing
and producing music for feature films such as “Any Given Sunday,” “Ali” and
“Finding Forrester.”
