Video Gaming News - June 2003
Calabasas, CA (June 17, 2003) - THQ today announced the North American
release of Big Mutha Truckers.
From THQ:
Big Mutha Truckers places players behind the wheel of a big rig diesel deep
in the heart of the South on a mission to inherit Ma Jackson's Big Mother
Trucking Company. With a complete cast of colorful characters and plenty of
campy redneck humor, Big Mutha Truckers is now available for the PlayStation(R)2
computer entertainment system and is scheduled to ship on June 23rd for the
Xbox(TM) video game system from Microsoft as well as PC for the suggested retail
price of $19.95.
"In Big Mutha Truckers you can swindle your family, competitors and just
about anyone who owns a set of wheels," said Phillip Holt, vice president,
product development, THQ. "On the surface players will enjoy characters like
Cletus and his flame painted diesel, but the game's solid economics model also
creates a strategic element that allows players to buy low and sell high such
unusual commodities as bootleg pigs and crude oil, after a quick run in a seedy
casino truck stop."
"Big Mutha Truckers moves ahead of the trucking genre with a competitive
price point and comedic appeal that every consumer can enjoy," commented Jimmy
Lamorticelli, general manager of Empire Interactive.
About Big Mutha Truckers
Developed by Eutechnyx Limited, Big Mutha Truckers is set in Hick State
County located in the heart of the South. Recently retired trucking proprietor
Ma Jackson faces the dilemma of which of her four children will take claim to

red kisses. The player who makes the most money buying, selling and hauling
cargo around Hick State County in 60 days will inherit Ma's trucking empire. Big
Mutha Truckers features a non-linear style of gameplay that allows players to
explore the various cities and discover new routes and hidden bonuses along the
way. Players can buy low and sell high various cargos ranging from cell phones
to crude oil to canned peaches. They will also have to battle various truck
jackers and outrun the local county mounties to deliver their cargo on time. For
