Irvine, CA (June 26, 2002) - Interplay Entertainment Corp. and
Journeys, a teen footwear lifestyle retailer, announced today a national
promotion showcasing Interplay's game Hunter: The Reckoning exclusively for Xbox.
The promotion will start July 1, 2002 in 560 Journeys stores nationwide and will
feature a contest and special offers from Journeys footwear and other sponsors.
For the promotion, which runs through July, every customer will have the
opportunity to enter an online sweepstakes with a chance to win valuable
products from Interplay, White Wolf, GameStop, nVidia, Dolby, MonsterCable,
Royal Elastics, and Microsoft. The promotion will be supported by a national
radio, online and in-store advertising campaign.
"Journeys has a customer base that perfectly matches our demographic for
Hunter: The Reckoning," said Barbara Gleason, Interplay Director of
Marketing. "Working with Journeys enables us to generate high-level
interest and exposure for our games to a more mainstream audience."
