Santa Monica, CA (May 12, 2005) - GGL: Global Gaming League,
today announced that Mark Burnett Productions and NBC selected GGL to produce
the videogame tournament for the final task for this season’s The Apprentice.

The event, The Best Buy Video Game World Championship, held in New York, NY,
will be the first video game tournament to be seen on network prime time and is
anticipated to be the most watched video game event in U.S. history. Tune in
tonight, May 12, 2005 at 9:00pm PST to see the results in the 2nd to last
episode of “The Apprentice” Season 3 on NBC.
GGL, which worked with Kendra, the Magna Corp. finalist, Best Buy, Electronic
Arts (who’s Fight Night Round 2 game was featured) and Sony (platform for
tournament was PlayStation 2), designed and ran the tournament, provided expert
instruction to participants, and certified the results.
“Competitive video gaming and Global Gaming League are ready for prime time,”
said Ted Owen, chairman and co-founder of the GGL. “With the technology and
expertise we bring to the table, both on our website and at live events, we are
leading the way for video game enthusiasts of all skill levels to easily connect

As part of its 2005 V-Sports All-Star Games being held at E3 in Los Angeles, CA,
GGL is working in cooperation with Mark Burnett Productions, NBC, EA Sports, and
Sony to hold a special online tournament featuring Fight Night Round 2. Winners
will be awarded a custom made heavyweight championship belt, EA Sports titles,
PlayStation® 2 consoles, and other prizes. The finals will be played live at E3
at a location to be determined.
