Los Angeles, CA (May 21, 2002) - Sierra Entertainment and Fox
Interactive announced today the development of James Cameron's Dark Angel for
the PlayStation 2 Xbox. James Cameron's Dark Angel is a third-person
action adventure game, which features both fighting and stealth tactics, based
on the television series created by Academy Award-winner James Cameron and
Charles Eglee. In addition to an original storyline, James Cameron's Dark
Angel features the likenesses and voice-overs by Jessica Alba (Max) and Michael
Weatherly (Logan).
"The group at Radical Entertainment is doing a great job with the development
of James Cameron's Dark Angel and creating an excellent game for the
PlayStation(2 and Xbox(," said Chris Miller, Producer, Fox Interactive. "Working
with the actual actors from the show and incorporating their likenesses into the
game adds to the realism of the storyline and will give consumers a chance to
virtually play as Max in her next adventure to find her sister and fellow
genetically-engineered escapees."
From Sierra:
As a child, Max escapes from her military creators, Manticore, along with a
handful of her "siblings", and makes a life for herself on the edgy streets of
21st century Post Pulse Seattle. Haunted by dark memories of her victimization
at the hands of the Manticore personnel, Max is on a quest to reclaim her past
and locate her missing "siblings". Max believes that by finding her "family" she
can overcome the battle that rages inside her, as the woman she wishes to become
confronts the soldier she has always been.
James Cameron's Dark Angel will be available for the PlayStation(2 and Xbox(
in Fall of 2002 for a suggested retail price of $49.99.
