San Francisco, CA (March 23, 2005) - Eidos today announced that LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game has gone gold. The game will ship on April 2, 2005.

From Eidos:

Rated E for everyone, LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game defies the generational gap to be enjoyed by all ages. Children and adults alike will play their favorite Star Wars movie scenes from Episodes I, II, and the upcoming final chapter, Episode III: Revenge of the Sith, while laughter will erupt from experiencing LEGO constructed characters and environments. With over 40 of your favorite Star Wars characters to play and over a dozen starships to collect, LEGO Star Wars will take the imagination of players to new heights. For those good enough to unlock all the starships, there is a bonus level with more surprises that lay ahead.

The Light Side and the Dark Side of the Force are now brushing up on their LEGO knowledge and abilities, preparing to meet face to face and fight for control of the galaxy. Get ready for a battle like no other in the history of the universe.
