Firefighter F.D.18 for the PlayStation 2has shipped to stores nationwide.

Packing the excitement and tension of battling real-life infernos into the
ultimate firefighting game, Firefighter F.D.18(tm) places players in the heat of
the action as they unravel the mystery of random eruptions of fire throughout a
sprawling metropolis.
In the game, players will assume the role of firefighter Dean McGregor to
uncover the identity of a serial arsonist setting fires to the beautiful city of
Port Serena. As one of the bravest firemen at Port Serena FD18, players will
step into the boots of a modern day hero, as they hunt down the culprit
responsible for the rampant fires. Along the way, players will run into an
eclectic group of individuals including Emilie Arvin, an exuberant TV reporter
looking for the inside scoop on the recent crimes, and Jason Hunt, a mysterious
research worker at Cyclone Networks who may have more insight into the
explosions in the city than he leads on.
Firefighter F.D. 18 recreates real-life fires including dangerous backdrafts
and flashovers. In addition to blazing fires, players will overcome obstacles
such as smoke, gas, explosive chemicals and environmental dangers that lurk
throughout the city. In order to rescue civilians, players will utilize a wide
range of firefighting equipment from water hoses to the IFEX impulse gun.
Firefighter F.D. 18 is rated T for Teen by the Entertainment Software
