Redmond, WA (March 12, 2003) - Nintendo today announced their online Pokemon Rocks contest.

From Nintendo:

Nintendo of America challenges America's youth to "rock" their way into a Lugia-branded PT Cruiser by participating in the Pokemon Rocks! online contest, launching today. By entering, anyone 18 years and younger will get the chance to strut their stuff for Nintendo and possibly America by showing off their rockin' talents!

In honor of the upcoming March 17, 2003, launch of Game Boy Advance titles, Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire, the Pokemon Rocks! online contest will run on www.pokemon-games.com through April 4. Entrants can enter by writing their own lyrics to the Pokemon-theme song, performing their song on videotape and submitting it to Nintendo who will choose the lucky winner.
