Santa Clara, CA (February 2, 2005) - Namco announced today that Xenosaga Episode II: Jenseits von Gut und Böse, has gone gold and will ship to North American retail outlets in February.

Developed by Monolith Software Inc. in Japan, Xenosaga Episode II is the latest addition to Xenosaga® Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht, which sold a million units worldwide. Xenosaga Episode II will be available exclusively for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system.

Featuring unforgettable cinematics and exciting game play, Xenosaga Episode II is a premier role-playing game occurring in the far future where the Earth is forgotten and mankind is at war with a mysterious alien race. Xenosaga Episode II’s epic storyline begins on Second Miltia, with an elite cast of characters reaching the planet to recover the key to the Y-data hidden inside MOMO. In the race to save humanity from extinction, players must uncover the secrets surrounding the Miltian Conflict and delve further into many unresolved questions and mysteries posed in Xenosaga Episode I. Offering a large number of characters in expansive worlds with multiple destinations, Xenosaga Episode II takes players on a philosophical journey filled with intrigue and surprise.

Characters in Xenosaga Episode II are equipped with extraordinary abilities to tackle the most difficult situations. Players can customize characters to their liking using more than 100 different skills such as Last Revenge, Overload and Double Power. They can also use the game’s enhanced battle system and refined boost system to execute devastating two-character “Double Attacks” including Archangel's Requiem, Fiery Ritornelle and the Gravity Bomb.
