GT: Will there be any team sports in the game?
PM: All of the events in Athens 2004, The Official Video Game of the Olympic
Games, will be individual based events. Gamers will be able to represent a
single country, however each event will utilize different types of characters
from that country to achieve the ultimate goal...winning the Gold Medal.
GT:
How did you decide on which Olympic events to include in the game?
 |
| Even equestrian events have made their way into the game. |
PM: We are excited with the variety of events that are available in Athens 2004,
The Official Video Game of the Olympic Games. We attempted to include events
that would provide gamers with authentic challenges in various disciplines from
the Olympic Games, as we are committed to developing authentic and innovative
sports games to appeal to both the professional athlete and hard-core sports
videogame fan. We have a compilation of events where either controller
configurations and/or timing are key factors in performance. The competitions
will test a gamers "skillz" both mentally and physically -- just as in sports or
with the Olympic Games themselves, Athens 2004,The Official Video Game of the
Olympic Games, provides the challenges and venues to all to make or break
records -- whether individual, sport or world records, there are records to be
broken. On your mark, get set...
