The Sims let you take control over a sim's life, but that life pretty much
revolved around staying home. Sure, sims could throw parties and invite
the neighborhood over, but they could never really free themselves from the
shackles of their domiciles. The Sims Bustin' Out is designed to change
all that. Sims will be able to finally get out of the house and visit 20
different locations that include a gym, a dance club, an art gallery, a diner, a
lab, and the interestingly named Love Shack.

If you are paying close attention, then you probably noticed that some of
these locations seem geared towards sims' skills. Your sims behavior and
available actions will be determined by their score in key skill areas.
For example, a high body skill will allow your sim to do spectacular dives into
the pool at the gym, while unskilled sims will only be able to manage belly
flops. Personality traits will also play a strong role in this, as
outgoing and playful sims will have a much wider array of dance moves at the
club than will shy, serious sims.
In addition to the new locations, The Sims Bustin' Out will also introduce a
a lot of other things not found in The Sims. For starters, there are ten
new career paths available, including mobster, pro athlete, and mad scientist.
Not sure which one to choose? That's OK because you'll now be able to
switch between careers. In addition to the new careers you'll get plenty
of new objects and social interactions. You'll be able to French kiss in
front of a DJ booth, moon walk at a laser show, or towel snap your friends at
the gym after a hard workout on the climbing wall. Your sims will even be
able to look different thanks to the new clothing and accessories. You'll
even be able to tattoo and pierce your sims if you want.
The Sims Bustin' Out will include the same goal-based play found in The Sims
Get A Life mode. The levels in the game will take full advantage of the
new locations, and this time around you'll be able to play with a friend through
the game's regular levels. Whether you work together or compete is up to
you.
Look for The Sims Bustin' Out to bust into stores early next year.
