"To anyone, this is the best sports game i have played. I'm a partial fan of football but not big and it is still bloody awesome. I think the best feature is Owner Mode, but in particular the NFL rookie draft. I think that the introduction of scouting really makes it more authentic and the fact that the rookies aren't rated makes it even better. "This years version is a tough one to review with some good new features such as the training camp mode which allows player progression and some aspects of the owner mode but the actual gametime engine feels exactly the same as last years with the same problems remaining which are: no matter how poor the offensive line you play against and how good your defensive unit is it is very hard to mount an effective pass rush. Also in certain games when the cpu comes to play you sit and watch as turnover after turnover occurs statistically useless players burn your DBs for several 80+ yard touchdowns, and your all-pro wideouts drop wide open passes. The offensive side of things is great and i have had some truly nail biting games, adrenalin pumping games but i would like to be able to chase the quarterback down or bat off a pass by myself. Player progression seems more effective with defensive players not suffering from the huge rating drops that comes from playing a full user controlled season and the graphics are nice also. But again no all time leaderboards to chase or hall of fame which adds the quandry of do you release the all-pro rusher yo drafted 10 seasons ago to save under the cap or retain him to batterout one more season to become 3rd all time rusher. On the whole as a stand alone game this is still an awesome product and i will play it constantly until next years version but as an improvement on last years i feel it doesn't quite do enough. Then again have we just been spoilt when there is no real improvements that can be made." - Jamie
